Been to quite a few meets this year and got to watch a lot of kids run so far, so i thought this would be an interesting thing to do. Now obviously these are just my predictions from what i've seen, results from this year, and last years state results. Please share your opinions as i have not been able to see every runner run this year! Also
1: Cody Herman (if he is healthy) 2: Austin Berens 3: Eric Yeager 4: Hunter Streff 5: Daniel Lucero 6: Xavier Norris 7: Tyler Lentsch 8: Brennan Witt (if healthy) 9: Quin Fargen 10: Guy Zephier 11: Logan Burns 12: Tige Thorman 13: Graham Bacon 14: Seven Annis 15: Austin Handley 16: Nathan Ford 17: Tyler Hohn 18: Harold Red Owl 19: Justin Sudtelgte? 20: Mitch Prouty 21: Tyler Jorgensen 22: Garret Miles 23: Austin Hanisch? 24: Josh Friese 25: Nathan Timmerman
(Also would please like to note that from 10th to 25th you could substitute them around and give or take 10 runners, just my predictions!)

Herman ran JV yesterday for his first meet back and placed fourth, with a time of 18:25, Lucero is also out for this year due to transferring Red Cloud to Little wound back to Red Cloud. CEB has another potential runner that could make top 25 in Dillon Miner who has come on strong in his last couple of meets. I would put Yager as the favorite to win it ahead of Berens but it will be close.

Makes things a little more interesting. Not sure how tough the rapid city course is, but impressive placing and time by Yager. I think i might take your word and move him up to the top position and also move up Lentsch from Madison, as he actually beat Berens earlier this year. I still think Custer will have three top 25 placers in Witt, Herman, and Burns. That should be enough for one of the top 3 places, but without their top 2 runners at 100% it will be very difficult for them to win. Still a few weeks yet before state and i will continue to watch their improvements.

Yes it will be fun to see how this years placings turn out, it was pretty windy yesterday on the course 25 mph NW winds. Herman started out with the lead but fell back about halfway through.

I think this might be the year that Madison holds on for the title. Custer will have a tough time being ready...OR they'll be on the right part of the upswing as Madison is leveling off... will be good. CEB and LEnnox will have something to say about it, though.

If Madison can continue with the success they've had so far i think the team title will be theres easily. They could potentially have 2 top 5 runners in Streff and Lentsch, and another potential top 10 runner in Handley. The problem I have with lennox is that they don't really have any star runners, they have about 5 guys though that i could see going from 20-40th. Unfortunately for them this year that will probably only mean 4th place.

Nothing easy for Madison winning a title. We've seen the problems they have had in the past at the state meet. I still think Custer is the fave. If Herman continues to be able to train, he will quickly regain his strength. It may not mean an individual title but certainly will mean a top 10 finish. That would be huge for the team race.

Yeah totally agree with that, just saying at this point madison is the clear favorite. But state is still about 3 weeks out, and in that time anything could happen!

It should be a great battle for that 1st place spot. Although Kraft beat Jongeling head to head earlier this year I'm not convinced he will be the best when it comes to state time. Kraft beat him in a 4k race in 100 degree weather. I think Kraft is the better 2miler and under but not 5k'er.

The state meet is shaping up to be a great one. Madison and C-EB should be the teams battling it out for the State A team title. C-EB is really turning up the heat late like they always do come State time. In last weeks meets C-EB had four runners in the 17's on both occasions. Norris is nearing the 16 mark. Should be very exciting!

Rave is dupree's top runner, so he should be where you have j dupree, Nate has a twin that is not far behind him in the meets.

I believe I will disagree on the Kraft -V- Jongeling finish, I to had the privlige of watching last years Track 2 mile Kraft looked like a sprinter pulling away from Jongeling, ( did not see the 4000 meter comp this year). My reasoning= Yes coarses and conditions are different, that said and not knowing the Temp or wind differences, I cannot see how Region Coarses can be SO different when you look at the times 16:05 and 17:10, with neither being pushed the gap on the field is just personal drive. I do hope the challange and pump of the State meet brings out the best in both, it should be exciting.
