Tia Carlson running the 400-800-1600-3200 and doing decent in all of these. (Finals of the 400 was probably a death march)
Macy Heinz (Ipswitch). Face it, she's really, really good. Too early (and not fair) to predict anything, but wow...59 speed and 5:04 endurance as a 7th grader...
Rachel Propst; Pierre freshman winning the 1600/3200- beat some VERY good girls in the process.
Kyle Burdick. A surprise 3rd placer in the 1600/3200. Staying with Tony/Addison in the 3200 (for 6 laps) was gutsy.
The marks of 4:18-4:22 (5 guys) in the AA mile are back next season...
Two 7th graders placed in the AA 3200 meters.
Tony Smoragiewicz getting to business in the 3200 (an hour after the 800m?). That was by far his best race on SD soil (w/ altitude and the fact that he just ran the 800...maybe his best 3200 ever).
An ailing Alexis Gannon beating Heck in the LJ.
What else???

Some great hi-lights...some others...
AA girls Hern winning the 800. Controversy or not, it was a great race.
AA boys Waddell going 1:54 in his leg of the the 4x800, 1:54 in the 800, and 1:54 in his leg of the medley.
Tuchen pushing Waddell in the final leg of the 4x800...he did everything he could to try and win.
Schultz running the 1600 (7th) and coming back to run 1:55 to go from 5th to 2nd in the medley, passing out on the infield after the medley, and then running a 50.0 in the 4x400.
Unsung heros...Taggart for BV, Warrwick for Washington, Ahrent for Roosevelt.

Missed a couple on the AA girls side: Mayer's throw of 43-4 was a great toss at a critical time.
The triple jump contest between Christensen and Thompson was a great battle. As was the battle between Christensen and her teammate Schad in the high jump.
A girls Konkol in the 800, 1600, and medley was special as well.
A boys Nielsen in the 100, 200, 400, and 4x200 was very impressive.
Watching Schultz in the shot put was special.
The duel between Schultz and Daniels in the Discus would have been very fun to watch.
The 800 must have been fun to watch with Witt winning but the top 4 under 2:00. This race keeps getting better and better in South Dakota.
