Add Austin Berens into the mix on the Boys A side. Just beat Norris by 25+ seconds in Aberdeen. Berens will be going head to head with Streff and Lentsch from Madison this weekend in Milbank. They met in Madison earlier on a shortened course (heat).
If Herman is healthy, no one beats him.

it's still early in the season, and Austin did beat Norris but come State it will all change. Norris runs tomorrow at Belle Fouche and I heard Herman could be running, will be great to see who finishes on top at the end when State comes!!!!

Fullblood: I know you are Xavier's father, which is great, but I don't know how you can say that he will beat Berens. He hasn't the last two years. It is early in the season for everyone, not just the CEB kids.
Lentsch, Berens and Streff all went under 17 minutes for 5k in Milbank. The wind was blowing pretty well. Milbank is not a fast course, historically. That is a pretty good showing. All three of those kids will be in the mix for a top 5 finish.

Xavier did beat Berens in State at huron, Xavier placed 13th and Berens 19th in 2010. with that it's going to be fun watching all of them, and only at State will we know who beat who.
They're are great runners in all the Classes. and CEB will get stronger as the season comes to an end next month.
Since we don't have a big or favorable/ media outlet I will post what I feel needs to be said for our kids.
Thanks

Kyle ran a faster time than Nate Schroeder on a much tougher course on a windy day.

Nathan beat Kyle by a considerable margin in their only head to head compitition of the year. Kyle will have two more chances to move ahead of Nathan on the course. If he does, that will be great for Kyle. But right now, the evidence is that Nathan beat Kyle on the same day on the same course in the same conditions.

Very true, except that Augie course isn't a very "normal" cross country. I look at these more of like predictions for the State meet

Schroeder from LHS is where he will be at by State. At the Meet of Champion Burdick was struggling but he ran a pretty good race in Huron though. I was surprised after watching him at the Meet of Champion he just didn't look that good. I like this Schroeder kid though he has worked really hard and is hungry. Been around for a while and hate to tell you this but this Ahrendt kid is only getting better. You can tell he hadn't run until the season started. I don't think he'll beat Addison by State time but from seeing him run in the past his time will only be better by State and he is going to be tough to beat. Just my predictions at the time of State. I also wouldn't count this Simmon's kid out from Sturgis either. I see him passing Jelen from LHS by State time.
